“Leah is always willing to do what is best for the betterment of all students and staff.”
Leah Suder, 8th Grade Math Teacher, Forest Hills School District
The following story was shared by Forest Hills School District in selecting Leah Suder as a 2017 Celebrate Teaching Distinguished Educator.
Leah Suder is the COMPLETE package! She is a valuable member of the Nagel Middle School Building Leadership Team. She serves in many capacities and is always willling to take an active role with anything we ask of her.
Seven years ago, we began the WEB (Where Everybody Belongs) program at Nagel. Leah has been instrumental from the beginning to be certain this program is successful, meaningful, and effective. She has kept the same enthusiasm since day one. With her guidance and involvement, WEB ensures a smooth transition every fall for our incoming seventh graders, and then continues throughout the school year to provide fun activities and programs for the students through our advisory program. Leah also trains our eighth grade students to be WEB Leaders.
In the classroom, Leah has proven herself as an outstanding educator. She has demonstrated her leadership as a Team Leader, and she has an innate ability to relate to students and staff. She has developed many solid relationships and is extremely well respected by her peers. Leah possesses tremendous communicative skills as many come to her for guidance and advice, especially within her team of fellow math teachers. She continually improves and stays current with the resources available that will improve the learning for everyone with whom she comes in contact. Leah sees the big picture and is always willing to do what is best for the betterment of all students and staff.
Leah is the bow on the top of the 'package' and Nagel Middle School is extremely fortunate to have her be a part of the Nagel Nation.
