The following testimonial was shared by Crooksville Exempted Village Schools in selecting J.J. LaBatte as a 2016 Celebrate Teaching Distinguished Educator.
JJ LaBatte is an outstanding educator in all aspects of the profession. He prides himself on offering his students the latest research-based practices in his multi-faceted high school English classroom. Most recently, JJ completed his master’s degree in English and offers college courses as part of our College Credit Plus Program on our Crooksville High School campus.
Mr. LaBatte has demonstrated excellent teacher leadership abilities through various opportunities, including serving on his Building Level Team, and participating on an ECET2 committee as part of the Ohio Appalachian Collaborative. JJ offered a session during a professional development day for our staff on PBL and has demonstrated lessons on that same topic during his Teacher-Based Team.
